Under the direction of Superintendent Ryan Saxe, the Cabell County Board of Education has taken a deeply alarming decision to severely slash funding for the Cabell County Public Library System and the Greater Huntington Parks and Recreation District. This action directly threatens the long term health of both of these organizations.
This drastic measure was taken unanimosly by board members Rhonda Smalley (District 2), Alyssa Bond (District 3), Josh Pauley (District 3), Mary Neely (Vice-President, District 1), and Coy Miller (District 2).
Citizens are encouraged to vote NO! in May to the exess levy and to express their strong disapproval by contacting the board at 304.528.5000, or contacting their local district representative.
